Gala evening Gault&Millau
The international gastronomic guide Gault&Millau has evaluated the Czech Republic for the second time. There have been more “four-hat” restaurants.
More award-winning restaurants than a year ago, new trophies for gastronomic personalities and the introduction of the “hotel” guide Stay & Dine. The gala evening of the international gastronomic guide Gault&Millau on Monday, January 26, at the premises of the National House Vinohrady, brought a number of new features in addition to the expected launch of the 2026 edition.
The historically second edition of the Gault&Millau gastronomic guide for the Czech Republic includes a total of 421 rated restaurants. Of these, 334 managed to achieve at least 11 points out of a total of 20, thanks to which they can boast the prestigious symbol of the chef’s hat. The authors also included 146 establishments in the POP category in the guide. Although these are not rated by inspectors, the guide mentions them as interesting places to visit.
Not only the christening of the new guides and the unveiling of this year’s restaurant ratings were part of the program of the recent Gault&Millau gala evening in the beautiful halls of the National House Vinohrady. On Monday, January 26, the organizers also presented individual awards on stage in front of six hundred guests. This time, there were eight.
